Dellissa Simmons LPC

Dellissa, LPC, is a Psychotherapist who sees children, adolescents and adults. She holds a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Dellissa has experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings such as ambulatory clinics, schools and community mental health centers. These experiences have afforded her a unique skillset that allows her to build a balanced rapport with her clients. Dellissa works from a trauma informed, social justice lens with an emphasis on expressive arts. She often combines somatic movement, wellness interventions and psychoanalysis into her practice as she believes that an integrative approach can result in a renewed sense of one's holistic self. Dellissa's ares of interest include anxiety, ADHD, depression, spirituality, phase of life transitions, parenting, herbal medicine, trauma, and self esteem challenges. When Dellissa is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, connecting with nature, visiting museums and listening to live music.

Emma Bacon

Emma Bacon is our appointment concierge and office manager. She is here to help with scheduling, rescheduling, insurance reimbursement inquiries, and any other administrative needs our clients may have.

Eduardo Saucedo

Eduardo Saucedo is a Jungian Analyst in Training at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. He sees clients in Houston, Texas through The Center for the Healing Arts and Sciences. Eduardo is also a licensed attorney with a Master of Laws in Taxation. Eduardo's attorney expertise included working with individuals, families and businesses to prepare and assist them for legal transitions through estate planning, probate and business formation. His legal work now informs his analytical practice assisting clients with professional development, mid-life and end-of-life transition, as well as the grief that is tied to life's evolutions, personally and professionally.

John W. Price PhD, LPC

John W Price is a depth-psychotherapist, educator, perpetual student, and former professional musician who co-founded The Center for Healing Arts and Sciences. His unique journey began in the world of music, touring nationally and navigating the exhilarating highs and chaotic lows of life as an artist. This path took a significant turn with the birth of his son, a transformative event that steered him toward the academic study of psychology, where he found a way to merge his profound interests in human nature, philosophy, art, and spirituality. John's academic pursuits culminated in a Doctorate in Jungian Psychology, where he blended his personal experiences as a musician with his expertise in depth psychology. His dissertation explored fame as a symbol for understanding the process of individuation, a psychological principle that Carl Jung described as the ultimate goal of human life.

John currently contributes his expertise to the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, a renowned center for humanistic studies, where he teaches courses such as "The Psychology of Shadow and Fame" and "Ecstatic Experience, Music, & Jung’s Red Book." He also serves as President of the Board at the Jung Center of Houston, a non-profit institution dedicated to studying psychology, spirituality, arts, and humanities, where he facilitates classes on topics ranging from "The Psychology of Projection" and "Explorations of Consciousness" to "The Mystic William Blake" and "The Origin of Satan." John's work emphasizes exploring the unconscious mind through depth psychology, ecstatic experiences, ancient religions, and the arts as tools for accessing the uncharted territories of the human psyche. His teachings seek to bridge ancient wisdom with modern contexts, drawing deeply on esoteric traditions such as Hermeticism, an integrative approach to healing attributed to Hermes Trismegistus that John incorporates into his psychotherapeutic practice. Through his popular podcast, "The Sacred Speaks," John continues to explore themes of antiquity, depth psychology, and the emergent field of psychedelics, engaging thought-leaders and practitioners in enlightening conversations about the transformative power of personal narratives. His belief in the power of storytelling underpins both his podcast and clinical work, reflecting his conviction that unraveling one's story can lead to profound personal growth. Together with his wife, Leila-Scott Price, John co-founded The Center for Healing Arts and Sciences, an integrative wellness clinic offering a variety of therapies and educational resources that embody his belief in the importance of community and interpersonal connection for growth and healing. Despite his many roles, John holds his family close to his heart, cherishing his most important identities as a father, husband, and seeker. His current projects, which include the ongoing work at The Center, the development of his podcast, and authoring a forthcoming book, aim to deepen individuals' understanding of spiritually and healing. John aspires to guide people in recognizing and reinterpreting their personal pillars, fostering a more conscious, authentic, and integrated existence.

Leila-Scott M. Price MAOM, L.Ac.

Leila-Scott, Co-Founder & Owner of The Center for Healing Arts & Sciences, holds a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, a degree in Human Organizational Development with a focus on the psychology of leadership from Vanderbilt University, and certification in Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI). TBRI is an attachment-based, relationship-oriented, trauma-informed approach to human growth and development, which allows Leila-Scott to meet her patient’s emotional needs as they arise during acupuncture sessions, groups, and retreats.

Leila-Scott is also trained as a gender equity & reconciliation facilitator with Gender Equity & Reconciliation International. Many years ago, her journey led her down a path toward deep understanding of masculinity and femininity - both as they pertain to the genders (socially, spiritually, sexually, in partnership dynamics, etc.) as well as how they appear irrespective of gender (aspects of masculine/feminine energies which do not discriminate based upon gender and even have no relationship whatsoever to gender). This adventure had already begun with the foundational “Yin (typically understood as feminine) & Yang (typically understood as masculine)” approach to understanding nature within the Chinese medical model as well as the Tao, but took her to texts diving into pre-antiquity historical & archaeological findings, quantum physics, mysticism & spirituality, embryology, zoology, sociology, and much more. Attempting a full understanding of these aspects has become a full-time spiritual practice for Leila-Scott, who calls herself a devoted student of Life and the nature of Nature. She is currently developing a curriculum in an attempt to share her findings and help others find understanding themselves.

Additionally, she has completed multiple long-form yoga trainings which deeply explore the anatomy of mind, body, spirit relationship and also holds an International Culinary & Hospitality diploma from Le Cordon Bleu, Paris & London. Her yoga experience allows her to invite her patients to move in a way that meets them where they are mentally and physically and her culinary degree informs her ability to demystify holistic nutrition & food prep for her patients. Leila-Scott feels strongly that medicine, movement & meals are three things that should further our wellbeing, not make us feel worse.

She leads women’s support groups and retreats, and spear-heads the food therapy & movement components of the practice ~ as well as our product development and strategic brand collaborations. Leila-Scott M. Price has been featured in PaperCity Magazine, going into depth about her services and what they have taught her in the process, and was honored to be visited a second time by PaperCity featuring a video recorded interview. She has also been featured in the Houston Chronicle to discuss auricular acupuncture and ear seeds, ShoutOut Houston for her spiritual approach to mothering and being a business owner, and The Pillars Magazine of Episcopal High School featuring The Center for HAS.

Holly Lewis Hudley PhD, MEd

Holly holds a Masters in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and a PhD in Philosophy and Religion with an emphasis on Cosmology and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies. With over two decades combined experience in education, psychology, creative expression, and spiritual formation, she is passionate about strengthening our internal locus of control in order to align with one’s deeply held values. Trained as an Interfaith Spiritual Director and mental health counselor, she focuses on spiritual well-being as an aspect of psychological well-being to help shift patterns of long standing anxiety, depression, and stress. Spiritual direction is less aligned with a particular spiritual or religious tradition than it is with deepening one’s self awareness to generate healing. It is about tuning into the wisdom within to attain mental well-being. Trained in mindfulness techniques, holistic health, developmental psychology, counseling, and compassionate communication, she looks forward to helping you achieve freedom from feeling stuck. Among other topics, she works with trauma, anxiety, identity (including race, gender, and sexuality), adoption, grief, and parenting. Holly is a regular co-teacher and podcaster with Dr. Bill Kerley for Ordinary Life, a spiritual formation and education class at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. As a life-long learner, she continues to grow and is currently pursuing certification in Spiritual Psychology with the Tree of Life Wisdom School and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Holly is a mother of three teenagers, pet owner, spouse, baseball-lover, snorkeler, and poetry aficionado.

Meredith Stein L.Ac

Meredith is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist through the Texas Medical Board and a private/corporate yoga instructor (200-hr RYT). She earned her Master's degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Texas Health & Science University, and is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).​About 10 years ago, Meredith was teaching English in South Korea and traveling around Asia when she first felt the subtle pull towards the holistic healthcare field. While abroad, she had adopted a more balanced diet and lifestyle, and also began receiving acupuncture to address some of her pain-related issues. Her overall health and energy levels improved dramatically, and her chronic allergies and headaches even disappeared! She knew she needed to do something to help others back home find balance, too. She eventually listened to her heart and applied to acupuncture school (where she also eventually met her future hubby).​Outside of work, Meredith loves cooking, reading, making art, and hanging out with Henry, their son, and the dogs. She is also a vintage clothing enthusiast and is working on her green thumb.

Kayla Hines LCSW

Kayla Hines, LCSW, is a psychotherapist who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Kayla received her undergraduate degree in psychology from McMurry University and she holds a graduate degree in social work from the University of Houston. Kayla has experience working with individuals, families, and groups across multiple settings including domestic violence, school social work, outpatient counseling, and psychiatric hospitalization. Kayla completed a fellowship at the Menninger Clinic, where she received training in psychodynamic theory and practice. Kayla works primarily from a psychodynamic lens, which focuses on exploration of past experiences, relationship patterns, emotions, and unconscious feelings to increase self-understanding, heal from traumatic experiences, and achieve self-acceptance. Kayla also draws from other therapeutic modalities, including dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and somatic approaches to incorporate skill building and deepen insight. Kayla approaches therapy collaboratively, with a philosophy that every individual has inherent strengths and goodness. She strives to create a therapeutic environment characterized by empowerment, self-discovery, healing, and growth. Kayla has a special interest in working with emerging/young adults, women, individuals who have experienced trauma, religious/spiritual issues, relationship distress, burn out, perfectionism, and anxiety. Outside of her therapeutic interests, Kayla enjoys camping, finding tall mountains to climb, thrifting, playing sand volleyball, and continuing her quest to find the world’s best sourdough bread.

Matt Hune LMSW

Matt Hune, LMSW, is a psychotherapist who works with adults, adolescents, and couples. His specialties and areas of interest include life-stage transitions, emerging adulthood, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and attachment wounds. He holds a graduate degree from Boston University where he focused research on psychodynamic interventions and social engagement. He received his undergraduate education in theatre from DePaul University in Chicago, laying the foundation for his holistic and creative approach to therapy. Matt is passionate about helping individuals navigate the complex emotional landscapes shaped by modern-day life. His therapeutic approach is relational and utilizes a psychodynamic perspective that focuses on uncovering and understanding unconscious thoughts and emotions to gain insight into current behavior and emotional challenges. In addition to his therapeutic work, Matt maintains a professional theatre practice, serving as the artistic director of Rec Room Arts in downtown Houston. Matt's dual roles as a psychotherapist and artistic director reflect his belief in the transformative power of both therapy and the arts. He views imagination, curiosity, attention, and reverence as crucial elements in nurturing radical growth, whether through the therapeutic process or the communal experience of theatre. Additionally, Matt is a husband, father, and middle sibling. He has previously taught at Kinder HSPVA and Rice University Shepherd School of Music.

Rodney Waters

Rodney Waters is a Jungian Analyst who received his training from the International School of Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland (ISAPZurich). Since 2009, he has given seminars and lectures at The Jung Center of Houston on topics including music, mythology, film and literature. His areas of interest include creativity, contemporary masculinity, sexuality (including issues of orientation, identity, gender) tattoos and music. A long-time advocate for the use of music and art in the service of social causes, he has created projects to support language tutoring, refugee resettlement and HIV prevention programs. From 2011-2019 he was the Scholarship Director of Music Doing Good and facilitated grants of approximately $400,000 to hundreds of young music students in Houston. In addition, Rodney has been a professional pianist for almost 40 years and has performed in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Bahamas, the South Pacific and Japan.
